Journal Home has been working hard to connect members and make this site a growing community. Over the past few weeks Journal Home has undergone testing and development. You may have noticed some of the changes and testing. Sorry for any inconvenience. The member area has been revamped and includes some new features. See below:
Updated Features:
Connect with members who share your interest. In the member area click onto Edit My Profile section and enter your interest in the "Interests" field and separate each interest by commas. Interest will be linked to other members who share the same interest. Linked interest are viewable on your profile page...see an example here: http://www.journalhome.com/test/profile
Templates and template variables updated. Reset your template to get the latest updated template. Caution: If you have made changes to your current template please back up all changes before resetting, all previous changes will be overwritten
Tradckback URL, settings, and trackback variable added to template variables. Currently not added to existing templates, you will need to customize template and add if needed
Friends latest entries page. This will display members of your friend list latest entries
Non-anonymous comments (commenters can use a nickname opposed to being forced to use anonymous
Ability to see when you are on another member friend list from Manage Friends
Links as custom field viewable on weblog
Friend and Category variable added to template variables
Ability to search entries from search entries page
Added EntryAuthorAvatar variable in template variables. Allows you to display author's avatar with each entry. Currently not added to existing templates, you will need to customize template and add if needed
JournalHome.com has created this blog for the purpose of keeping members and visitors up to date with JournalHome.com site information. The easiest way to stay up to date is by using the RSS/XML feed. Place this URL within your rss aggregator and it will automatically update itself whenever a new journal entry is published.
