Those of you who don't know, there has been quite a bit of load shedding going on in South Africa. To cut a long story short South Africa has been running out of power since 1994, (they felt that building new power stations was not needed), so 13 years latter there isn't enough power anymore. Seen that it takes 5 to 10 years to build a new power station I wouldn't expect much economic growth from them for the next couple of years. They even went as far as closing most of their mines, (in case you wondered why the price of gold went thru the roof).
I know it is easy to blame the power company, (Eskom), but in fact the government explicitly told them not to build new stations. So now we enjoy daily power outages of between 1 to 2 hours, the mines have been ordered to run at 80%. As this is going to last a few years I can only imagine that it will get worse and worse.

I missed you much, but glad to hear from you! I am sorry to hear about the power loss in South Africa, It is my wish and prayers that things go well for you and all citizens there.
As fot the price of gold going through the roof there, I am not surprised, I think there may be a worldwide depression developing, I know markets in Hong Kong and Japan have had big drops as well as here in the U.S.A., economic stimulus plans are being developed here in the states, to be ratified by congress soon, I foresaw this and typed in in my earlier blogs Heaven help us from Bush and the corporatists.
In any event Florrent I wish you well and know you must be extemely busy but if any free time befalls on your shoulders feel free to email me a line. I love the improvements you made here @ JH its great!
I was away for a while as we are in an election year and you know me, dedicated to fight Bush and his policies and trolls that follow his flawed ideology, so I decided to take an extended leave from my old job and work in the political arena as a DNC staffer/ researcher, I just wanted to put my work and passion where my mouth and blogging is lol.
Florrent I wish you well and hope all goes well for you all my prayers, hugs and blessings to you and family!
Sincerely,
Heather

Apparently a third cable broke on the bottom of the Mediterranean. Had any trouble with that? Just wondering how important these cables really are...

Hi!
You switched to a new server before, because of the many long outages. The one you're with now, is even more annoying. At least today, and on a couple of occasions in the past few weeks. Very short outages in very rapid succession. The entry I posted today, only came thru on the third attempt. Fortunately I'm now prepared for this, so I copy everything I write before I make an attempt to save it, but it bugs the hell out of me. Anyways, I'm just blowing off steam. If I want an apology, I want it from your server, not from you.

Server going down...
Sorry about that.
I have tried to sort it out with them but I think this is hopeless.
The hosting company is obviously going down the drain.
So, I am looking to move to another server, again :(.
But this wont happen overnight because, this time, I want the hosting company to offer some sort of guarantees.
I'll keep you all posted when I find something.
