This was a busy morning! We had all of our 10 rooms filled last night with a group from a church for a Marriage Retreat.  I had forgotten how busy the Inn is when all the rooms are filled. I was up and out early with coffee going and Stuffed Berry French Toast in the oven by 7:00 AM. I had time to make homemade wild berry syrup to top off the hot entree.  This breakfast just cried for Broiled Grapefruit with brown sugar and cinnamon. Last night I made sour cream coffee cake and my famous cranberry nut bread. Who could ask for more? 

My husband was very surprised when he arrive at the Inn after fishing for breakfast to find there was "no food at the Inn." So my girlfriend, Barbara, who helped out this morning, made scrambled eggs with cream cheese. What a nice treat!  It's late afternoon, all the the rooms have been turned over, the dishes are done (all three loads) and the laundry is in the dryer. We were a little backed up this morning with only one commerical dryer going. The sun is out and the temperature is very pleasant so my husband is out clearing out flower beds and cutting the grass in front of the Inn. It looks so beautiful with the sun shining.

We are having new carpet installed at the Inn, along with new parlor furniture. It will be perfect for our guests. Our front door will be refinished before next month and 2 new doors installled on the first floor.  And this was just today!

We decided to go out to the movies tonight. We deserve a break today.
