Herbs, work, and JC
I have been so busy since RJ left on another excursion. Between guests, gardening, baking, cleaning, my time has been at a premium. This morning, 2 of my guests asked if they could walk Bentley and Cooper. What a godsend! The boys really enjoyed walking in the MacKay Nature Reserve. I managed to finish planting today. All the pots are out and filled with the most gorgeous colors. Even my herb garden is taking off. You would not believe my mint! I have it growing next to the fountain. It's already 2 feet high and full of big, beautiful leaves and flavorful. The scent is full and strong. The leaves will be fabulous in ice tea! My chives are florishing! It looks like it will be a great season for herbs.
I picked up a couple of good movies: 28 Weeks Later, Sweeney Todd:The Demon Barber, and Cloverfield. What a nice selection of movies: a zombie flick, horror musical, and a creature feature. God, I love the genre! I just finished "The Gingerbread Girl" by Stephen King. Good story! I really think his recent work is so good. I loved Duma Key. So many books - so little time.
I hope the weather holds for tomorrow. I would like to finish the flower beds and finish weeding the front of the Inn. It takes so long since we have quite a lot of property to maintain. It is so much easier when RJ is around.
On an aside, I would like to acknowledge my brother-in-law, JC. He called to tell me I never mention him in my blog except to call him my brother-in-law. So hence forth, I will refer to my brother-in-law as JC and he will not have "a bone to pick with me" anymore. So JC, this is for you... Good night, all. See you tomorrow.
