      "A Walk to Remember"

I walk beside an angel but no one seems to mind
It’s either they don’t care at all, or are they rather blind?

For others it may seem ordinary, but for me its special time
For who can walk with an angel, and present to her these rhymes.

There are some things I long to say, but my lips are sealed tight
Stunned am I when she’s around for she’s a dazzling sight!

She may not have a halo, or a pair of wings
But you don’t know what gladness to my heart she brings.

So I compose these silly rhymes, early morn of today
That my feelings I want to express, at least I can say.

If I tell her how I feel, I might end up with an epic
Oh dear here I go again—a hopeless romantic!

But I know three words will be enough, to tell her the things I hide
And I know I need not tell her so, for she knows how I feel inside.

Thursday, September 22, 2005 - International Day of Peace

      Posted in Simply Mediocre

Peace out to everyone! Today´s the International Day of Peace so better kiss your enemies today (as Judas did?). Well, well, well. So what did this little group of peacemakers called the LaSallian Peace Corps do this morning?

We really did not have much time to prepare for it, so we had a simple prayer service for the whole high school and we gave out blue and white ribbons for everyone to wear. Heck! There´s some troubles though. I should have known the devil has us in his list of people to pester. We ran short of ribbons! Drat! Anyway, we still have the Peacetival to make it all up.

It´s nice to see everybody wearing those blue and white ribbons today, but it would look better if everyone wears a black ribbon. Why a black ribbon? It´s simply to show that we mourn the fact that some people work so hard to shut the truth into a rectangular box and burry it six feet underground. What am I trying to say? Well, just read beyond the lines. We simply want the truth, whatever it may be. We are not promoting anarchy or rebellion. We just want to express ourselves. All we want is to alleviate the situation of our country. If it won´t happen during my school life, then perhaps it´s simply waiting for someone in our generation to pick up our flag and raise it up high!

Sadly, though, some of the kids from our generation are just as dirty, corrupt, and morally degenerated as the old school guys up there. Now, if only we-yes, I´m talking to all of you-think of ourselves as lotus flowers. No matter how bad the society where we live in gets, we continue to shine that brilliant light God embedded deep within our souls. If, however, your light has grown dim and you have grown to love the darkness, just fart your gas where no one can smell it. Or set it on fire so that you´ll light up again. After all, methane is present in those poot-poot´s you do. Now, I´m getting too far now. What I´m really trying to say is that if you have conformed to the crooked values of today, it´s either you shut up and refrain from corrupting more youth, or try to bring back your morals once more.

Oh dear, I sound like a priest. Anyway, I think it´s time for me to catch some ZZZZ´s now. I´ll get back to you guys tomorrow.

      Wednesday, September 21, 2005 - Dove Hunt

      Posted in Simply Mediocre

Where on earth can you buy a pair of doves at 7pm? Where in Bacolod can you buy a helium-filled balloon? These are just some of the where-on-earth questions I kept on asking this afternoon. Guess what? It looks like tomorrow´s events won´t be as grandiose as we plan it to be. We can´t find the balloons we need and our pair of doves went out of their cage and took off! Great!

After trying our last options, I finally gave up and called it a night. Of course, I took the liberty to attend to my own personal needs. So there I was, walking the dark streets of the city at about 8 in the evening trying to get some things done... haircut, some grocery to fill up my personal food vault I store under my computer table for those long sleepless nights, and other trivial stuff.

I´m a dead person. Yes I am. But I´m not writing from the pits of Erebus. I´m not the type whose earthly shell gets eaten by the worms and whose soul has turned into a shade. I´m just a dead man because I don´t have a life! Senior High is just too hectic that I can´t even find a minute for recreation. I keep on assuring myself that when all these things pay off, I can finally get my life back. It´s all worth the sacrifice after all.

You know what? This journal entries are helping me a lot. It becomes an outlet of all my frustrations in life that I can´t talk to another person personally. Well, I just hope you guys aren´t tattle tales. Now, let me tell you a little secret... oh! Hahaha! It´s getting late. Maybe next time guys! See ya!
