Is this "Such a Time"?

REFERENCE: Esther 4:14 "If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?”

Observation: Esther knew that the whole nation of Israel was in danger by the plot Haman had set in motion against them. She also knew that to do what she had been asked to do (to go before the king and make a request without being invited) risked her life. Her uncle, in this passage, reminds her with those famous words: "perhaps you were made queen for such a time as this."
What about you and I? We are in the Kingdom of God. We have been brought into the throne room--to an intimate relationship with God Himself. Maybe it is for a reason. Maybe there is something we need to do that only we can do. Maybe we are where we are, relating to the people we are because of God's eternal plan. It tells us in Acts that God places people where they live so that others may hear about the nearness of God and His care for them.
Why are you where you are and doing what you are doing? What is God up to through you? Maybe you are there "for such a time as this". A hurting person that you have the key to know how to touch. Maybe there is someone who has come to admire and listen to you that needs to hear what you need to say about God. Maybe it is time to watch for and realize that this moment is "such a time".

Application/Confession: I know of and hate my tendency to just "bury" myself in life. I need to be more, moment by moment, aware of the presence of God's Holy Spirit and what He might be up to at any given time. I want to be a part of what He is doing.

PRAYER: Holy Spirit make me aware of the moments that You have placed in my path to do something special and powerful. Remind me that You have made me and anointed me for "such a time".
