REFERENCE: Prov. 27:23-24 Know the state of your flocks, and put your heart into caring for your herds, 24 for riches don’t last forever, and the crown might not be passed to the next generation.

Observation: Financial responsibility is not just something that the Wall Street Journal recommends. It is something that wisdom requires. I need to know what I have. I need to know how to take care of it and I need to know that it doesn't last forever if I am careless with it.

Application/Confession: I need to pay attention to how to build up the financial wealth God has given me.

PRAYER: Lord, as you help me to do all I can to be responsible, please bless me to be able to pay off debt and to have a legacy to pass on to my children--should you delay your coming.
