Planting Good Seeds

REFERENCE: James 5:7-8 Dear brothers and sisters, be patient as you wait for the Lord’s return. Consider the farmers who patiently wait for the  rains in the fall and in the spring. They eagerly look for the valuable harvest to ripen. 8 You, too, must be patient.

Observation:  When we plant seeds with our lives we are asked to be patient waiting to see the crop. We can not expect, as in nature, that we can plant and harvest in the same season.

Application/Confession: I need to be patient as I am planting seeds in other's lives. I may not see a result quickly, but that is not my call, my call is to plant and wait for God to bring the harvest.

PRAYER: You are Lord of the Harvest--I am not!!!!!!! Help me remember that when I am tempted to try to make a harvest come when my job is merely to plant seed and let you bring the harvest.
