Get Rich Slowly

REFERENCE:  Pro.28:19,20 A hard worker has plenty of food, but a person who chases fantasies ends up in poverty. 20 The trustworthy person will get a rich reward, but a person who wants quick riches will get into trouble.

Observation: What gets people into trouble financially is chasing fantasies and trying to get rich quickly.

Application/Confession: It is easy to get caught up in this world's mythology--that riches come from the lottery or sudden good fortune. I need to remember that God's way--the only real way--to wealth is by being trustworthy and building it up slowly over time.

PRAYER: God, teach me discipline rather that the "get rich quick" attitude. Save me from the world around me that is always looking for instant everything.
