I Want To Know HIM!

REFERENCE: Hosea 6:3 Oh, that we might know the Lord! Let us press on to know him! Then he will respond to us as surely as the arrival of dawn or the coming of rains in early spring.

Observation: God’s responding to His people and our faith to believe for that response, is directly tied to our knowing Him intimately. Our ability to really know Him is dependant on our willingness to “press on” into knowing Him, to really give ourselves to that pursuit. It is not automatic. It requires a firm commitment on our part--for the rest of our lives.

Application/Confession: If I want the Lord’s blessing on my life and ministry (and I certainly do) then my pursuit must be one of pressing in to knowing Him with all that I am.

PRAYER: As Paul wrote; “I want to know You!!”. I really do. I am not satisfied even with what I have come to know and experience in the 40+ years I have been following You. I want to know more and I want to want to know You more and, especially, more deeply. As I understand more of myself, I want to understand more of you.
