12/7/2007 - Joy and Tears In The Harvest Field Psalms 126:5-6

Joy and Tears In The Harvest Field

REFERENCE: Psalm 126:5-6 Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy. 6 They weep they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest.

Observation:
When we plant (planting is doing something good or righteous in expectation of good results) it is often hard work and “with tears”, especially with our families and people we love for Christ’s sake. We need to hold on to the promise that we will harvest and do so with joy and singing. It is what the planter has to hold in mind when the night is dark and the planting is so very hard.

Application/Confession:
I have planted a lot of seed with a lot of tears. I am holding on to this verse believing that I will see even more of a joyous harvest than I have seen so far.

PRAYER:
God"I bring to your mind all the planting and all the tears Gloria and I have planted. I ask you to restore and bring joyous reaping where the planting has been done.
