REFERENCE: Psa. 139:23-24 Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. 24 Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.

Observation: David is brave enough to ask God to do something that is very scary; to know everything about him and correct him. David knows that it is the path to eternal life.

Application/Confession: I want to have this kind of openness, honesty and intimacy with God. I want to be so confident in His love that I can risk willingly opening every part of me to His loving gaze. I know He already knows, but I still fight the tendency to hide in my own heart and mind.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, as hard as it is to write this, search me, know me, test me, correct me and show me how better to live your life.
