The Dangers of Virtual Sex and The Real Kind

REFERENCE: Pro. 2:16-19 Wisdom will save you from the immoral woman, from the seductive words of the promiscuous woman. 17 She has abandoned her husband and ignores the covenant she made before God. 18 Entering her house leads to death; it is the road to the grave. 19 The man who visits her is doomed. He will never reach the paths of life.

Observation: A modern application of this verse must include the dangers of pornography and virtual sex. Now a man, with the advent of the Internet, can enter the prostitutes home without even leaving his own. The dangers are the same. It leads to addiction and to death of the soul and heart.

Application/Confession: I must be constantly aware of the dangers that are not further than my computer. Satan will say that pornography is no big deal, that it doesn't matter, but it does!! It kills and destroys and if I want to stay out of grasp I have to stay away from sexual impurity of any kind.

PRAYER: Lord help!! I know the power of this temptation and I know that it has the power to destroy my ministry, my family and my heart. Please give me the wisdom to stay away from the immoral woman in person or on the Internet. Give me the strength to stay sexually right.
