Healing is For Real

REFERENCE: Matt. 8:16-17 That evening many demon-possessed people were brought to Jesus. He cast out the evil spirits with a simple command, and he healed all the sick. 17 This fulfilled the word of the Lord through the prophet Isaiah, who said, "He took our sicknesses and removed our diseases."

Observation: Here Jesus made it plain that part of His work on earth was to bring physical healing. Some have said that the Old Testament scripture (Isa. 53) was refering to spiritual healing not physical but the way that Jesus makes reference to it here, makes it clear that He intended physical healing to be a part of what He came to give mankind.

Application/Confession: I need to have more faith--to pray with expectation. Jesus made physical healing an important part of His ministry and asks us to do likewise. I want to see that happen more and more.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to believe you. Help me to ask, seek and knock until you open the door to healing for me, my family and for my church family.
