Don't Miss the Chances

SCRIPTURE Pro. 3:27 Do not withhold good from those who deserve it when it’s in your power to help them.

OBSERVATION So often we have the power to help the deserving people around us. All they need is a simple word of encouragement, a notice, an acknowledgement, a moment of our time and attention and yet we withhold it--often because we are just not paying attention to what is right in front of us.

APPLICATION/CONFESSION I get so busy it is easy to miss the needs of those who are right near me. How sad it is that I can miss the oppourtunity to do something "good" for them just because I am not paying attention.

PRAYER Lord, help me. I love my family. I care deeply for those You have put in my life. May You give my eyes the ability to see their need and give me the power to make a difference.
