I Hate to Wait

SCRIPTURE: Psa. 27:14 Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.

OBSERVATION: It is hard for us to wait. We want to take action, to get something, anything, done. It takes courage to wait because we have to believe that God will respond.

APPLICATION/CONFESSION: The opposite of being brave is to be controlled by fear. I recognize the tendency that I struggle with to act out of fear instead of waiting for God. I decide that if He is not acting fast enough, then I will. I want to learn, more and more, how to simply wait for His timing.

PRAYER: Lord help me to wait. Help me to see what you are doing in me during the waiting time. Help me to be brave enough not to put my hands on those things that You will act on in your time.
