Reference: Proverbs 11:24-25 Give freely and become more wealthy; be stingy and lose everything. 25 The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed. 

Observation: Here is a principle that could not be clearer: give freely and become wealthy. It doesn’t make sense except that God tells us that it is true!! The generous will prosper. It is an open, giving heart, not a closed stingy one, that will find itself on the receiving end of blessing.
If we have not been generous, we need to start being so. Open our hands and see how God can bless a liberal heart. If we are generous and have not seen the blessing that we would expect, hang on, believe that what God has said will happen. God rewards faith, as well as a generous heart.
If we have been generous and have been blessed, we should give more. God has put resources into our hands to bless others with it and to invest in the expansion of His Kingdom. This is a principle not just having to do with money; it works in every area of our life. If we give encouragement freely, we get encouragement back. If we give love to others with an open heart and hand, we will be loved in return. Whatever we bless others with, we will be blessed with in return.  

Application/Confession: Gloria and I have tried to be as generous as we possible can with our time, affection, care and money. The scripture is clear: as I give, God has promised to give back in return.
I have seen this principle at work. Certainly as we have worked to be encouragers, we have received encouragement. As we have worked to be faithful, we have been surrounded by good friends who are faithful to us. In a myriad of ways God has given back an abundance of what we have given. 

PRAYER: Thank you for your provision. Thank you for the many, many times you have provided for me emotionally, socially and even financially. Still, I ask that You would see our faithfulness and provide in abundance.  I know that you want to give us the desires of our hearts.
