The god who wants to be near
Reference: Deuteronomy 4:7 For what great nation has a god as near to them as the Lord our God is near to us whenever we call on him?
Observation: This is what is so wonderful about the God we serve. Not only is He powerful and the creator of all the earth, He is near to us and cares deeply about everything that happens to us. He wants to be intimately involved in our lives.
Application/Confession: I need to take greater advantage of this very characteristic of God. He wants to be close to me!! What an honor and a privilege that God would feel that way about me! In light of this great opportunity, I need to respond by making time with Him a high priority in my life. Nothing should get in the way, but things sometimes do.
PRAYER: You want to be near to me!! What a wonderful thing!! What a blessing!! May I always pursue intimacy with You with passion and commitment.
