the Call To Come and Talk

REFERENCE: Psalms 27:8 My heart has heard you say, "Come and talk with me." And my heart responds, "Lord, I am coming."

Observation: God is calling each of us into intimacy with Him. It is not just for the few, the deep, the spiritual, but it is for the responsive. We are all called. Only some of us answer "Lord, I am coming." This is the response that opens the door to really knowing all there is to know about God. Not philosophy, not science, not reading more about Him but plunging into talking and communing with Him.

Application/Confession: I need to answer just as David did more often. I want to have a heart that responds at the slightest nudge to spend time with Him.

Prayer: Lord, please don’t stop calling. Give me the grace to respond and spend time with You. I want to know You. Please enlarge that hunger and thirst.
