What Are You Worth?

REFERENCE: I Corinthians 4:3-4 As for me, it matters very little how I might be evaluated by you or by any human authority. I don’t even trust my own judgment on this point. 4 My conscience is clear, but that doesn’t prove I’m right. It is the Lord himself who will examine me and decide.

Observation: Who gets to decide your value and worth and "rightness". Too many of us have left it up to the world system or our friends. As Paul makes clear here, the wisest thing we can do is to leave it up to God. Others really don’t know our hearts, in fact, we don’t always know our hearts, but God does!

It is sad to think how much time and effort we put into simply trying to measure up to other’s expectations. We will never win that race. How releasing to give our worth over to the One who knows us best and loves us most. Then we can live with confidence, security, joy and, most importantly, freedom.
