Beware The Sex Trap!

REFERENCE: Ecclesiastes 7:26 I discovered that a seductive woman is a trap more bitter than death. Her passion is a snare, and her soft hands are chains. Those who are pleasing to God will escape her, but sinners will be caught in her snare.

Observation: Jesus said; "to look on a woman to lust after her is to commit adultery in your heart". In our time and culture there are a lot of seductive women who are out to trap men. They are, primarily, virtual women. They exist on the Internet, TV and in magazines. Even though they are not residents of the usual physical world, their danger is just as great. So many men have been caught by this type of woman. So many marriages have been destroyed and so many Christian men have been drained of their spiritual life.

It is time that we take a stand. We men, together, need to say clearly that we will not involve ourselves with pornography. It is wrong, it is seductive and it will destroy us. Satan will do everything in his power to ensnare us through our email, a quick peek at an Internet site, casual cruising through the cable channels, glancing in the wrong kinds of books and magazines. Young men have been known to go from first exposure to complete addiction in a matter of weeks. We have got to get free.

Brother, if you are addicted now is the time to tell someone, preferably your pastor, and ask them to hold you accountable weekly. Get any and all material out of your home, filter your Internet (with a filter you do not have the key to). If you are involved with a real flesh and blood "other woman", cut it off today and don’t contact her again. Change jobs, if you need to, to get away from her. We have to be firm with ourselves if we want to be free.

Remember, this addiction can destroy your marriage, your family and your eternal life. It is simply not worth it.
