REFERENCE: Isaiah 26:3 You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!

Observation: How do we stay at peace? It takes two things. First, we need to trust in God. We need to be fully convinced that He will take care of us and see to it that His good purposes will be accomplished in our lives.

Secondly, we must have our thoughts set on Him. We have to control our thoughts. They will want to lead us down every little rabbit trail; things to worry about, people who don´t like us, our failures, and those things will steal our peace.

If we trust Him and if we keep our minds set on Him, then we can have the peace of mind God designed for us to enjoy.

Application/Confession: I struggle to stay at peace. Satan asks the age old question; "is God really up to something good in your life?" and I find myself questioning that when I really have no reason to do so. I think about all the things that could go wrong and all the negative things people have said about me. I know that those kinds of thoughts ruin my tranquility.

I want to stop doing those things. I want to live in God´s peace.

PRAYER: Lord, I trust you. Forgive me my lack of trust. Help me to discipline my mind so that I can think about You and Your goodness instead of worrying all the time.
