Some Things Are Hidden

REFERENCE: Proverbs 25:2 It is God’s privilege to conceal things and the king’s privilege to discover them.

Observation: The king is representative of the leader. This passage tells us that there are some things about God and His ways that are not easy to grasp or understand. The leader’s job is to uncover those things and to make them understandable to others.

Many have said that God’s truths are easy to understand. For the most part, that is true. Still, there are some things, Paul calls them mysteries, that are only grasped by careful and diligent study.

Application/Confession: Discovering God’s “concealed” things is part of my job. I need to work hard in my preparation and study to find them out.

PRAYER: Open my eyes, Lord, to see what You have concealed so that I can teach your people with real understanding.
