WDJD (What Did Jesus Do?)

REFERENCE: I John 2:6 Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did.

Observation: It is more than a trite statement to ask, “what would Jesus do?” It is actually a statement of life philosophy and mission. We should live our lives as Jesus did. We should read regularly how He lived and we should seek to imitate it. He lived among the people and He showed them the truth and power of the Kingdom of God. He did not succumb to temptation, even at its most extreme. He stayed in constant communion, responsiveness and intimate relationship with His Father. Not a bad way to live.

Application/Confession: I so desire to live more and more liked Jesus did. There are so many excuses for doing so but still the call comes to my spiritual ear; “You should live your life like Jesus did”. I have such a desire to answer that call with greater fidelity than ever before.

PRAYER: Dear God, show me what I need to change. Teach me how to live “in His steps.” I want to live as Jesus desires to though me.
