God’s Priority

REFERENCE: Hosea 6:6 I want you to show love, not offer sacrifices. I want you to know me more than I want burnt offerings.

Observation: Sometimes we can get so busy doing things for God that we forget the value He places on relationship with us. He wants our love. He wants our attention. He wants to know what is on our hearts. Sacrifice for the Kingdom is God is good, in fact it’s great, but it can never take the place of the first priority of simply spending time in God’s presence and living a life committed to Him.

Application/Confession: I work hard for God. I am learning to spend more time simply being with Him. I know that this is where the power comes from.

PRAYER: Dear Lord. Draw me close to You and help me to keep my heart there, near to Yours.
