Living Like Jesus Did
REFERENCE: Matthew 4:23 Jesus traveled throughout the region of Galilee, teaching in the synagogues and announcing the Good News about the Kingdom. And he healed every kind of disease and illness.
Observation: The Bible tells us to “live like Jesus did.” How do we do that? Certainly it involves sharing with each other, what we are learning about living a Godly life but, beyond that, it also requires us to look for every chance to proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom. Jesus did that, primarily, in the market place, outside of a place of worship. So should we.
It is not just preaching to people about how to get saved but telling them that God loves them and wants to be involved productively and positively in their lives--that He cares about them, enough to do something about it.
This is the part that is harder for us to do many times, but very important none the less.
Application/Confession: I want to use the relationships I have outside of the church to extend God’s Kingdom into more people’s lives. I need to do more in this area.
PRAYER: Holy Spirit guide me as to how I can do this. Show me the hurting people and give me the ability to effectively touch their lives for You.
