Looking For Oppourtunities To Make God Real

Observation: We Christians have given ourselves a bad reputation. George Barna, who has researched all of this, points out that the non-christian world sees us as argumentive, bigoted, self-rightous and judgemental. This is certainly not the kind of conversation God wants us to have with outsiders. We should be looking for chances to extend grace. We should be looking for opportunities to show the attractive side of the gospel. People know, deep in their hearts, that they are sinners, that they need forgiveness. What they don't know, and we need to reflect to them, is that God loves them and is calling them to Himself. That gospel, that "Good News" is what is attractive and what we need to be sharing. They need to see God's love made tangible in us.

Application/Confession: I just need to do more of it. I don't argue with non-Christians, I simply don't interact with them very often. I need to find ways to do it more. I want to be an attractive influencer in their lives but first I need to know some personally.

PRAYER: Lord, show me the oppourtunities You place in my life to touch the lives of those who do not know You. Please don't let me keep it to myself. Who You are and how much You love is so important. I want, desparately, to share it.
