Great Forgiveness--Great Love

Observation: We forget how much we have been forgiven. We forget that our sin, without His forgiveness, would send us to hell. May it is because we don't see sin like God does. He hates it, we laugh at it. He can't stand to be near it. We excuse it. So, when God forgives us of our sin, we don't realize what an awesome thing that is. Many of us who have been followning Jesus for many years have forgotten the impact of His forgiveness. We have forgotten what we were like before He came into our lives. We feel as though we have been forgiven little and, therefore, we love God with less passion than we should. Our sin was (and is) great. His forgiveness of us is great. Our love for Him should be as great.

Application/Confession: I know that I down play my sin at times. I think: "It's not so bad. God understands." He does, but sin is real and really destructive. I want to understand how much I have been forgiven so that I can love Him more passionately.

PRAYER: Dear God. Thank You for your forgiveness. You did something awesome when You saved me and forgave me. Teach to love You more.
