5/2/2008 - Edification from praying in tongues
St. Paul said "that which I recieved gave I also unto thee," well that's all anybody can do isn't it, if all you've recieved are a set of, redundant to usefulness doctrines, that's what you will be rattling on about, like a dog who has dug up some dirty, smelly old bone and he won't let go of it even if you toss him a lamb chop. This is not at all to dismiss good wholesome doctrine which is vital to our faith and which is coming under a most ferocious assault by the devil at this present time. But even good doctrines can be wrongly held.
When the Lord gave me SPOUSE SONG which along with DOVE SONG is on this page, I recieved it through edification after times of praying in tongues, I was a bit startled by the words "Jesus looking in the window" but when the song was written down and I saw that it was from Song of songs I read that book in the bible with renewed interest, what joy to find in the 2nd chapter "behold my Beloved...gazing in at the windows," if next time you are in church you were to look up and see Jesus looking in the window I guarantee you will be up on the balls of your feet singing with all your might, heavens forbid, you may even jump and clap your hands a little for sheer joy at seeing your Lord in His beauty. But dear friends He is there.
The song is about our first espousals to the Lord and our earliest love for Him, the stealings away for those blessed times of sweet fellowship with Him in prayer, our discovery of Him as our shade and shelter, the feasting upon the delicious fruit He brings us, the coming festal gathering and the comfort we have in the knowledge that His banner over us is love. Friends these are weighty themes to dwell upon, heart grounding and most precious truths and the dear Lord gave them to me in a song.
DOVE SONG if you look closely is actually the same song and taken from the same sacred book of the bible, but how different, here we see the saint perhaps a little further on in his walk with the Lord, maybe there has been some holding back, "I was asleep with heart awaked," some failing to enter in to the fulness of the Spirit, a measure of failure to open our hearts fully to recieve all that the Lord has for us. Perhaps the shadows have come, we may have lost a measure of the fulness His immediate Presence in our lives, and we seek somewhat sorrowfully and cry "oh where is my Beloved gone and my Dove where is He turned." We find Him again pasturing His sheep, gathering up His lilies-that is we find Him in the church-and we are reassured of His everlasting love for us.
What precious truths are these, what doctrines, what delicious fruit to feed on and Imma saying the Lord gave it all as a most holy and precious gift through the edification of a time spent praying in tongues.
Yes, yes these truths are in the bible, but I had read Song of songs without seeing them there. May the dear Lord bless you this hour, and He will if you will draw nigh unto Him believing.

4/16/2008 - Victory over sex sin
I love the Lord so when He started speaking to me about my besetting sin I knew I had a struggle on my hands, it was a choice between a close walk with Him or my pet sin, although I would still be saved.
There was a song in my head, one of those oldie type choruses, the tune was awful but the words were diamond, I knew that God was giving me the key to victory so I started singing, it goes like this.
I have been crucified, crucified with Christ
and I live no longer I but Christ lives in me
and the life that I now live I live by the faith
by the faith of the Son of God
Who loved me, Who loved me
and gave Himself for me.
Victory was not at all immediate, I kept falling but I would get up, dust myself off and start singing, over and over, and I got victory, praise God I got free, through a song? nah, through the mighty power that is in God's word.

4/13/2008 - God Imputer
Matthew.c.8.vs.16-17. That evening they brought to Him many who were possessed with demons and He cast out the spirits with a word and healed all who were sick. This was to fulfil what was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, "He took our infirmities and bore our diseases."
Everything Jesus did on the cross He did for us, so that we would not have to. In order for evangelical christians to deny that physical healing is provided for in the atonement that Jesus made for us at calvary they must deny the integrity and the infallability of scripture. Isaiah when he wrote the words of his prophecy down was not expressing his own opinions, nor was he engaging in wishful thinking, but the words that he wrote down came from God Himself and God said "surely" this you can be certain of, you can bank on this. Well what was the prophet so sure of? "He took our infirmities and bore our diseases."The fact that Isaiah was writing down God's word is proved by Matthew's account of Jesu's ministry. Jesus said "lo I have come to do Thy will o God as it is written of Me in the roll of life," and He healed the sick. The will of God and the word of God are the same you cannot separate them and God's will for man is as unchangeable as God is unchangeable. God sealed His will in the precious blood of His own Son, where a will is concerned it is sealed and unchangeable with the death of the one who made it. Whether you say testament or covenant or God's will or God's word you are talking about the same thing. The question arises then if Jesus took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses why are so many sick? the answer is simply that people do not believe it, and the reason that they do not believe it is because it is not announced or preached, faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God, and when it is preached it is not preached with the same certainty as for example the forgiveness of sin, and no-one will deny that this is the more needful provision, but and yet the promise of God to heal are contained within the very same prophecy. Jesus had no sin, He bore our sins. Jesus had no sicknesses, He bore our sicknesses He had no death only life, He took our death, He died for us in our place. But there's more to imputed righteousness than this, for a divine exchange takes place when we come to God through the cross-and this is no new message or revelation this is the old, old, story of God's redeeming love-. When He takes all that is wrong with us He imparts to us all that is right with Christ. God looks upon us as He looks upon His Son. In place of sickness and disease He imparts to us miracle healing, He bore our sorrows and carried our griefs when He died on the cross, now God imputes to us by a miracle His joy and His peace. He imparts to us the very life of Christ.
Come sincerely to God in prayer to recieve the blessing from Him.
Dear Father in heaven I came to You in Jesu's name I thank You that He did bear my sins on the cross so that I might be forgiven. He bore my pains and infirmities so that I might be healed He carried my griefs and sorrows so that You might impart to me today joy and peace. This can only happen by a miracle of grace an exchange must take place between me and Jesus This is what happened on the cross. I thank you for it and and recieve the very life of Jesus into my heart by faith now. Amen

4/9/2008 - CHRISTIAN STOP DAMNING
I think that Billy Graham is very wise, when asked about his belief about hell he says "I am certain that nobody will be there who does not deserve to be there." He is really acknowledging that there is a very real and problematic difficulty with the doctrine of eternal punishment as it is presently held among evangelicals. It is one thing to make statements of a controversial nature in the hush of an auditorium or in a church sermon where more than 90 per cent of the audience is in agreement with you, but to make the same statements, out in the general public, in the workplace or the school or college where the hearers are liable to be hostile to what you are saying is a different kettle of fish altogether. The all important question is what do the scriptures say? If something is in scripture then that is God's word, I will stick to that in the face of any opposition and have done so in regard to what I have always believed the scripture says about the doctrine of eternal punishment, and I do believe in hell, I believe that people will be there and that it will be just as awful as Jesus said it would be. But what I am finding harder and harder to sustain, as one who does actively share the gospel, and I may add harder to abide, is this hard-nosed believe or be damned message so beloved of such a vast number of my evangelical brothers and sisters, this is not at all to say that this is not the view most commonly held to be the orthodox doctrine of protestantism from the reformation on, and I do count myself, as one who has been cleansed of my sin by the atoning blood of Christ and born again of the Holy Spirit, as being orthodox But as I read the scriptures and in particular the parables of Jesus concerning the day of judgement I am beginning to believe that it is not so clear cut black/white, christian/sinner, saved/lost, child of God /child of the devil. I think the whole doctrine needs to be looked at again carefully and prayerfully to see whether indeed we have got th right balance and the right interpretation of God's word on this vital subject.

4/9/2008 - CHRISTIAN STOP DAMNING. part 2
I was reading Mathews account of the parable of the wise and foolish virgins in chapter 25 it reads "then the kingdom of heaven shall be compared to ten maidens who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom." and in the margin of the A.R.V. it has "and the bride." I am a very inquisitive soul so I checked it out in the K.J.V. and discovered there was no mention at all of the bride in that version, I dug a little deeper to see if I could solve the mystery of the missing bride, why was she not in the K.J.V. of the famous parable and why was she only accorded margin status in the revised text. I discovered her in the ancient texts right there alongside the bridegroom where she should be according to eastern custom. Upon further inquiry it transpired that the translaters of the K.J.V. had a problem of exegesis in that they could not see where the bride would fit in. Let me explain, the bridegroom they understood quite correctly to be an allegory of Christ, the maidens have ever been accepted to be the 5 wise being the church or christians and the 5 foolish the world or the unsaved, that being so where would the bride, always and ever understood to be an allegory [and correctly] for the church fit in? You can see the problem the translaters had, we have all heard of the spare bridegroom at the wedding, here we have the spare bride. The only solution to the problem is to understand that there are three and not two distinct groups of people mentioned here. Besides the Groom who is the Lord and His bride who is the church there are ten maidens divided into two groups the wise and the foolish.

4/9/2008 - CHRISTIAN STOP DAMNING. part 3
When the Son of man shall come in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then shall He sit upon the throne of His glory and before Him shall be gathered all nations and He shall separate them one from another as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats. And He shall set the sheep on His right hand but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on His right hand "come ye blessed of My Father inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was an hungered and ye gave Me meat, I was thirsty and ye gave Me drink. I was a stranger and ye took Me in, naked and ye clothed Me, I was sick and ye visited Me. I was in prison and ye came to Me." Then the righteous shall anwer Him saying, "Lord when saw we Thee an hungered and fed Thee or thirsty and gave Thee drink? When saw we Thee a stranger and took Thee in? or naked and clothed Thee? Or when saw we Thee sick or in prison and came to Thee." And the King shall answer and say unto them, " verily I say unto you, inasmuch as ye did it unto one of the least of these My brethren ye did it unto Me." Matthews gospel chapter 25 and verses 31-40 We have here set before us the scene of judgement day, we have the Lord and His holy angels or saints, which has the same meaning in the original language of the scripture. We know from scripture that when the Lord comes to judge the world with equity He will bring us with Him, those who have joined Him in the regeneration during this gospel age do not come into judgement because they have already accepted God's righteous judgement of sin, that it deserves death and have trusted themselves to the Saviour in that He has been judged and put to death for them in their place, how then can they be judged when Jesus has already been judged for them. That poses a serious problem of interpretation for this scripture namely who are then the righteous sheep? We have the Lord, the King and His saints "these My brethren" and the sheep on His right hand and the goats at the left who are both judged according to how they have treated God's people "these my brethren" the sheep are judged favourably and the goats unfavourably. Notice that Jesus in addressing the righteous sheep says "come blest of MY Father" it is not your Father, notice also the lack of any recognition or kinship between them and the Lord or the saints "these MY brethren. As in the parable of the wise and unwise virgins there are three distinct groups of people, the church, the wise/righteous and the foolish/unrighteous.
WHAT I BELIEVE. I believe in the millenial age, the thousand year reign of Christ with His saints who are His co-heirs in the kingdom of heaven on earth. This thousand year reign will take place after the tribulation and the coming of anti-christ, his brief moment of triumph and his subsequent destruction, the rapture having taken place sometime during or after the tribulation, Satan will be chained and imprisoned during the millenium, then after the thousand year reign of Christ in His triumph as opposed to His reign now in His humiliation, Satan will be loosed for a short period to attempt to decieve the nations once more culminating in the great and final battle between good and evil. After Satan has been defeated and consigned to his place of eternal abode will come the last and final judgement after the second resurrection. WHAT DOES THIS ALL MEAN? That there is another world age to come after this gospel age, the millenium or the thousand year reign of Christ with His saints on earth The saints of all the ages will join Christ as co-heirs of the kingdom of heaven on earth. The righteous sheep and the wise virgins of the parables are I believe the meek whom Jesus said would inherit the earth. It will be an earth released from the bondage of decay and death which was brought upon it by sin.

4/2/2008 - SONGS GIVEN THROUGH "TONGUES"
Song of songs.c.2.v.9. My Beloved is like a gazelle or a young stag. Behold, there He stands behind our wall gazing in at the windows, looking through the lattice.
DOVE SONG
My Dove is stood beyond our wall
and should I leave Him there
He bids me join Him where He is
His shame and loneliness to share.
+
I was asleep with heart awaked
my Dove was at my door
He wooed with tender words of love
and I could make Him wait no more.
+
My Dove put His hand to the latch
my heart thrilled with delight
I rose to open up to Him
but He was gone into the night.
+
Sustain me with raisins
refresh me with apples
for I am sick with love.
+
My heart had failed me when He spoke
I sought but found Him not
I cried to Him in my distress
My Dove, my Lord, forsake me not.
+
Oh where is my Beloved gone
and my Dove where is He turned
city girls talk much about love
but there's a love which cannot be learned.
+
Sustain me with raisins
refresh me with apples
for I am sick with love.
+
There is my Belov'd, my Dove
He's pasturing His sheep
see Him gathering His lilies
I knew my heart's pledge He would keep.

Song of songs.c.2.v.9. My Beloved is like a gazelle or a young stag. Behold He stands behind our wall, gazing in at the windows, looking through the lattice.
Jesus looking in the window
oh is He calling me?
"arise beloved and steal away
the winter is gone you can see."
+
Fair flow'rs in the earth appearing
fragrant blossoming trees
voice of the love-dove fills the land
awakening love as it please.
+
Sustain me with raisins
refresh me with apples
for I am sick with love.
+
My Lord is as an apple tree
beneath His shade I rest
and taste the sweetness of His fruit
the while in His Presence so blest.
+
My Lord has got a feasting house
a place is set for me
while o'er me His banner of love
is there for ev'ryone to see.
+
Sustain me with raisins
refresh me with apples
for I am sick with love.
+
Jesus looking in the window
I know He's calling me
"arise belov'd and steal away
come, join sweet fellowship with Me."

4/1/2008 - ANTICHRIST FIRST
2 Thessalonians.ch.2.vs.1-4 Now concerning the coming again of our Lord Jesus Christ and our assembling to meet Him, we beg you brethren not to be quickly shaken in mind or excited either by spirit or by word or by letter purporting to be from us to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. Let no-one decieve you in any way for that day will not come unless the rebellion comes first and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of perdition who opposes and exalts himself against every so called god or object of worship so that he takes his seat in the temple of God proclaiming himself to be God.
In my opinion one of the worse things that can happen in the church of God is that men of great learning and scholarship can come and take the bible or portions of it or doctrines out of it and bring their [undoubted] scholarship to bear upon the interpretation of it.
The bible however profound or sublime it's content matter is a book simply written to be understood by everyone.
In the nineteenth century when advanced educational achievement was held in such high esteem, even awe, some very intellectual gentlemen betook them selves to the study of the doctrines of eschatology or "end things" they set themselves to formulate a doctrinal system setting in time sequence the events concerning and leading up to the coming again of the Lord Jesus Christ and because their intellectual achievements were held in such high regard their formulations were accepted into the church without question or demur and are still the views held by the overwhelming majority of protestant christians today.
The scripture quoted above if read plainly and simply speaks about one subject and one subject only, the coming again of our Lord Jesus and our assembling to meet Him, THE PAROUSIA or to give it's most popular name THE RAPTURE, the learned gentlemen would have us to believe that St. Paul having opened his mouth to address this most vital subject, and then without so much as stopping to draw breath, in mid-sentence, suddenly changes tack and begins an entirely new and different topic altogether viz-a-viz THE LAST JUDGEMENT which pertains to a completely different time period, the reason they do so is because they had already formulated their own doctrinal stance in regard to DISPENSATIONS and had discovered, to their satisfaction at least that whenever the terms THE DAY OF THE LORD or THAT DAY occurred in scripture the reference was without variation to the last judgement. So now scripture must be made to fit in with their doctrinal position, no matter what wresting or contorting is neccesary to do so, this is ever the way of error.
Next they come upon the word APOSTASE for nineteen centuries taken to be understood as it's most primary meaning REBELLION, but alas this will not fit the dispensational formula, so now they have to stretch it to it's most obscure and secondary meaning to say DEPARTURE, not in the sense departing from the truth but in the sense of the churches departure to meet he Lord at His parousia.
Friends we must get back to plain and simple reading and understanding of the bible, St. Paul's appeal to the Thessalonians[and therefore christians of every age] is simple, DO NOT BE DECIEVED, but as I listen to christians speak about the rapture I think they have been for the overwhelming majority believe that the Lord may come at any moment, I've heard it billed as the next great world event. But according to the plain and simple reading of St. Paul's teaching this is impossible, first must come the rebellion, we see that happening all around us, people throwing off all restraint, our cities and towns and even rural areas are filled with murder and wickedness and every kind of evil, secondly must come the prince of all this lawlessness ANTICHRIST, this has huge significance for the church for he will come on a mission to destroy all religion his real target will be the church, he is coming and he is the prince of all those angry voices we hear raised against God and against His people. This is the GREAT TRIBULATION which Jesus warned would preceed His coming again, "you will be hated by all for My name's sake."
Once again the dispensationalists, to make this scripture fit into their doctrinal stance, have attributed to this word tribulation to mean the time of God's wrath but the word tribulation in scripture is only ever used in connection with persecution.
Whether or not the church will go through the entire seven years of Antichrist's reign of terror, of which the nazi persecution of the Jews was a satanic forerun, or whether the rapture will come after the first period of his rule is a matter of debate, but to my mind what is not a matter of debate is the fact that this is what the church, christians of every shade of opinion including the catholic church [for since Antichrist's mission is to destroy ALL RELIGION he cannot possibly religious himself] should be preparing for.

2/15/2008 - How the East London Christian Mission became The Salvation Army
By the middle of the 19th century the fires that had burned so brightly with the great awakening a century earlier had begun to die down, the Methodist society had itself become just another denomination within the dissent. William Booth hailed from Nottingham, he was an itinerant lay preacher in the Methodist New Connection. When he arrived in London's east end he was staggered by the grinding poverty he encountered among the working classes, he resigned his commission with the New Connection to form the East London Christian Misssion. His first preaching engagement was outside the notorious "Blind Beggar" pub on the Whitechapel road, a known hive of prostitution and gambling and every sort of vice. He threw his hat upon the pavement outside the pub and started to preach to it the love of Christ, among the missiles hurled at him from the patrons within in response to his loving invitation to turn from their wicked ways and recieve Jesus as their Saviour were human waste, offal and at least one live cat. But three persons got saved and the following evening they set up a tent in a field opposite for evangelistic meetings. By and by God blessed the work and many were saved and added to the company of those who believed. One freezing november night Booth was walking across London bridge with his son BRAMWELL and peering over the side of the bridge he noticd what seemed to be rows of cardboard boxes stuffed only with newspaper, he enquired what they were "why father" came the reply "those are homeless men and women, they sleep in those boxes." William Booth was distraught, he went home in an agony of grief that such a thing could be. He paced the floor back and forth pulling on his beard "and you knew about it, you knew but you did nothing." From this time forward the E.L.C.M. started to buy or rent vacant warehouses or such-like buildings and the first hostels were formed. Upon the door of each building were written these words NO MAN NEED STEAL OR STARVE OR SLEEP OUT AT NIGHT OR COMMIT SUICIDE-WE HELP YOU. IN may 1887 Booth called for GEORGE RAILTON, his closest friend and ally along with Bramwell to review the annual report for the E.L.C.M. written at the top of the document were the words The christian mission is a voluntary society, Bramwell objected strongly to this wording saying "I am no volunteer, I have no choice but to serve." William booth took his pen and crossed through the offending words and wrote in their place THE SALVATION ARMY.
