Perhaps it is too late
last chances
and final glances....
I have waited
too long
and now you have
slipped away
forever by chance
to hover
somewhere
within the stratosphere
somewhere
beyond me.
There is no blame
only a laughing fate
watching from the shadows
of my mind
you create
and still I hear
the words
once spoken
and still I see
the things
that will never
become.
Each of us
caught in these webs
we have spun so carefully
but fail to navigate
left at the mercy
of a distant breeze
to scatter our memories
and carry us away.....
al the time
twisting inside myself
the hesitation
now
conviction comes
renewed determination
when there is nothing left
but the empty space
my choice made
in indecision
time loosing patience
stole you away
for a finality
I always resisted.
