The Shadowlit Realms
| Labyrinth of the Mind |
Song of the SageSong of the Sage
Swamp eyes silently alluding
to deep balmy secrets
kept secluded in their catacombs
of dusty bones hinting at ritual;
elusive within sacred tombs
where voices once rose frothing
enchantments, caught in a star-lit gaze
hiding behind the misty veil.
Gentle insistence upon parted lips
urging the journey into darkness,
with the caressing shadow's kiss,
lost within these decedent waters
where sweet boggy murmurs offer temptation;
danger lurks on the edge of nocturne dreams,
vanishing into otherworld realms.
Perspiring anxiously while awaiting
to discover the rewards of this quest
into ancient ruins of decaying gods,
seeking to touch a deep earthen
truth vibrating upon the edge
of the living and the underworld
an unaccountable vastness of consciousness
waiting to emerge and swallow all thought.
Feel the stirrings of xenoplastic connections
as years seem to fade away,
now approaching the zenith of understanding.
