May No More
Sweet May sits upon the
park bench with skinned
knees peeking out from under
her pink sun dress, but
her eyes are sad in the breeze
and stained lips will not part.
Sad May with her arms bare
waits for the train to take
her away from this, her hair
is not fixed and her inside
is dead.
Little May sleeps through
sunny days so she might be
called into the night, where
for a price she finds companionship,
her legs spread and breast bare.
Lonely May dries her eyes
as she pretends it never
happened, black and blue she
remembers a father that never
loved her as a man should a daughter.
Good-bye May, she was dammed
from the start, as the train passes
she steps on, watching the blurred
world go by on her way to no where
land.
