I just watched this rather interesting movie that offered a good social commentary I thought, and look into certain problems and issues that teenagers are facing today, and the whole ADHD, riddilen craze taking place, and just the way people look at things in this society now. I generally enjoy movies like that, that are kind of edgy in a way.
The movie was called Thumbsucker, and it was about this kid in high school who was feeling pressure to just be "normal" because he was led to believe that there was something wrong with him by other people in his life, he did not have a good relationship with his parents and found it difficult to relate to other people, and then his school decided that he was ADHD, and the parents were somewhat skeptical about it, but the kid was so eager to just be able to fit in and to change that he wanted to the medication thinking it would make all his problems go away, to his parents agreed to it, and it worked for a while, but then things started to get out of control and he ended up crashing again, after that he tried to change on his own and make things right but he was so lost and did not really know what he wanted.
