Fallen Dream
Grasping at the smoke,
trying to hold on to only the
vapors, when it all blows away,
left standing stark and naked.
Eyes look inward for some
last remaining hope slowly
vaporizing with the passage
of silent time.
Put together it seems with
glue coming undone slowly,
falling upon the floor in a million
broken pieces.
Withering like a crumpling
rose, pollen tears blowing away
into the depths of the wind.
Sweet misery sings through
the bending trees, as something
seems to be dissipating like a cloud,
only these wisps remain.
Searching for the hidden strength
which once had been there,
feeling it is being drained away.
Something found now becoming
lost, left in this mess I made for
myself as paradise has thawed.
