Top Model

I have been watching this show America's Next Top Model, I know it is shocking, but well there is something oddly entertining about the show, and in a way I just like to laugh at the models and how stupid they are, though there are a few I actually come to like, but on this last episode the models were sent to the dentisit mostly just to get thier teeth whitented but there were a couple of the girls that needed work done. One of the girls had a gap in her teeth that they wanted to fix but she refused to let them. She said it was her signiture and she wanted to keep it. A part of me really resepcted her for that. The judges were really mad at her about it and really critizied her. Now I understand that modeling is a shallow industruy and there are certain things you need to do, and you have of to be a certain way if you want to be a model, but I do not think they should have been so harsh because she is confidaount in the way she looks and does not think she needs to be fixed. She still took very good shots. But in the end she was told that she would either have to have it fixed or she might as well just go home.

modelling
Most modelling contests, agencies and agents are like that. They like to strip people off their independence and turn them into a bunch of skinny herds. However I think the contestant should've complied as modelling is not the kind of industry where one can put their foot down about issues if they're not known. And if she really believed in it that much she should've just quit.

Models..I don't get it
I never could figure out the difference between a model and a super model. When does a model become a supermodel? Is it income, number of jobs, or what?

Models photos digitally altered.
Recently I was watching a program on models and they were showing the photo shoots and layouts of the photos. Then they showed the photos again after they had been tweeked and airbrushed and digitally altered and my goodness the difference the touch ups made was amazing. And we have young people out there in this superficial world who just think they have to look like these models and little do they know it's unattainable. How can they look as good as a digitally altered and air brushed photo in a glossy magazine? So many of our young not only here but everywhere are starving themselves to become like an impossible tarted up photo. Now I ask where's the sense in that? And do these people who produce these magazines care...I think not. L O L :)
