The Da Vinci Code Part 2

Posted in Movies

Ok now that I have seen the movie I have some more to say about it. First thing I have to say is that I thought it was pretty good, and I really do not know what the critics beef with the movie was, becasue I thought it did a good job of following the book pretty well. The biggiest problem I had with the movie was the girl who played Sophie Neveu (Audrey Tautou) really could not act, and so she came off as being quite annoying because through most the movie she just looked lost and confussed.

The other thing I have to say is after seeing the movie I really do not know why the Albinos made such a big deal out of it. The movie was actually sympathic to the Silas chararacter, more so I thought then the book was and did not really make him look evil but made him more misguided really, the other thing is that they really did not make a big deal about him being Albino and go over the top, really he could have passed as just being a really fair skinned person.

nods..

yea, it does irritate me that those people make such a big deal out of the movie..jesus..

i haven't watched the movie yet, mainly because it's banned here(stupid) in Manila, and I don't think i can get away watching it since i'm only 15 and i am quite too short for my age...

i'm looking forward to watch it, though,,and i perfectly agree with you every inch of the way...people these days go and act stupid even before they try and use their brains to think. ack.

today's youth

This happened during my previous visit to the Enkhuizen public library to update my blog: a small kid, nine years at most, counting from the moment of copulation, goes to the service desk and shouts at the top of his lungs: 'I want you to set aside The Juvenalis Dilemma and The Bernini Mystery for me. And not The Da Vinci Code. I have already read that one twice!' He really looked as if he was wearing a note on his back and a tattoo on his forehead, asking for a doped Barry Bonds to beat him up with an aluminum baseball bat. Have I missed something. If I had read such books when I was his age they'd have anyone from Babe Ruth to Hank Aaron club me to death. I was a real sorry smartass, but reading such books... Even I was smart enough not to. I'll check the obituaries...

Your post as a critic

You have an intellect beyond religion. Religous people don't see the good and probability in the movie. They see it as a threat. What would happen if the movie turns out to be correct? It would demolish their religion. No offense.
