I just heard the most unbelivable thing. Apperently there was this Wiccan soilder who was killed in the war, and it was the wish of his family that he have a pentagram placed upon his tombstone and the Goverment is refusing to do so. That is absolutely outlandish, for one thing what happend to freedom or relgion? How the hell can the goverment decide some relgious symbols can be honored (i.e. anything Christion) but others cannot. And for another thing, how the hell can they refuse to honor a man who died in war in the way his family and he wanted to be honored? The fact that he was Wiccan wasn't a problem when they sent him over into that bullshit war to die, but he is not good enough and his beleifs are not good enough to be honored after his death. If that is how they feel then they should just refuse to allow Wiccans in the millitary to start with. If only Christions are good enough to be honored, then let the Christions die for it.

I cannot believe how discriminatory the government can be. Wiccans deserve to be honored. What are we? Lesser beings? Hello! It's called freedom of religion and government can't interfere on that. *sighs* Idiots!

I can't believe I just read that. Have the government and powers that be, in the land of the free lost the plot or what? Sounds very inhumane that they refuse to give this poor soldiers family comfort and peace after all they have lost their Son what more do the governmant want from them? Very sad state of affairs. I have long ago given up any hope that the current US administration will honour any international convention or agreement that runs contrary to their percieved interests, be they financial, military or political. To honour a wiccan might cost some biggotted votes, and we cannot risk those votes, can we? After all, they aren't necessarily African-American so somebody important might nottice they ship the dud voting machines to those areas ...
