Naming RitesI started thinking it is kind of funny the way people are about names. There is a sort of supersition around names and naming ones childern, and the thing that is most intresting about it is that it seems that even those that think themselves logical and would not consider themselves supersitious are affected by it as well. What I mean is that it seems there are certain names that I have been deemed untouchable, they have a stigma and have come to be understood as meaning something bad, even if the name itself is acutally a rather nice sounding name people will not use it, I think part of might be subconcious but it is intresting. To give an exzample, now I know when I first say this most people are going to think well of course you would not name your kid that, but then that would just go along with what I am saying so bare with me.
Lucifer, now I personally think that if you just look at the name itself and put aside everything else it really is a rather nice sounding name.
Another name I have always enjoyed and think it really is rather nice sounding if you can for a moment forget everything else that surrounds it is Jezebel
Now to be fair sense I am not a Christion and so it is true enough I would not be so affected by what these names mean anyway, I will pick something in my own relam as well.
I am a huge fan of Arthruian legend and though Arthur is a name that is quite common, one name that you do not see, and that I do think sounds like a very nice name despite what it might represent is Morderd
So this is just something I found to be intresting.
