The struggles of an artist

Posted in Thoughts
I do not know if I might have mentioned this before but in addition to my writing I also very much enjoy the visual arts, and I have recently been able to start getting back to painting again which I have not done in years. It feels really good to have had the oppertunity to do so once more and the peice I am working on now it turning out really well. Though the unforunate thing is that I do not know when I will be able to get my hands on another canvas again. For my last birthday I was given an art set which inculded an easel, some paint, brushes and one canvas. I already have some plans for what I want to paint next, but I do not know when I will be able to do that. As of late I have been avioding spending money becasue my funds are desperately low and my checking account has been drained from buying books for college. But I really want to keep with painting again now that I have sort of rediscovered the joys of it. So I do not know what I am going to do but I will start looking around and see how much they are and see what I can work out.

I like painting as well. It is great that you have rediscovered painting. Do post some of your artwork when you get the chance.

Great idea, Silvermusline (hope I spelled it right but don't think I did). I'd love to see your artwork. I'm glad you rediscovered it too. My father and his two brothers were fantastic at art, but darn if that gene didn't come anywhere near me! I always thought it would be wonderful to be able to draw. You are such a vividly spiritual person that your creations must be very deep!

Thank you, I do not have a scanner but if I get the oppertunity and chance I will try and have some of my art scanned so it can be posted online.
