StingI am a big fan of Sting, which seems a bit odd because it does not seem to fit into a lot of the other music I listen to and enjoy, but then I have a wide and varried taste when it comes to msuic. There are a few reasons why I enjoy Sting so much, for one he is a very spritual person and that spirituality comes out in a lot of his music, some of his songs have a sort of old world feel to them, but the thing that I find most intresting perhaps is that most people really know him for his love type songs which are very soothing and romantic, but there is this other side to him that comes out in some of his music that I do not know if a lot of people really pick up on. But he has this sort of dark twisted side almost it seems. Some of his songs actually have this almost creepy sensation to them. For one thing has Every Breath You Take which is undoubtly a stalker song, Moon Over Burbon Street hints at this sort of darkness but I really recomand checking out Don't Stand So Close to Me. That song can really make you cringe. And it is amusing to me when you stumble acorss a song like that from such a singer like Sting who is usually very spritual and romantic. And well I can relate to that, I have the same trends in my poetry.7:57 AM - 6/24/2006 - post comment
