Prostitution

I had recently heard this story that the congress is trying to impose some sort of tax upon pimps, though the idea might sound quite humorus and well the concept of it really is, it got me thinking upon the issue of prositution in general. And well the way I look at it is this. For one thing prositution has been around sense the begining of man, so to think that you can really bring an end to it and terminate it all together is just silly and idealistic. One must accept this is not going to happen. Next prositution is one of those things in which though it is technically illegal it is not really enforced. Sure Johns and Hookers might get busted now and then, but really for the most part the law looks the other way. There are brothels that work under the guise of massage parlors, but really the cops know of these places and know what they do. Now, I for one do not have anything overtly against prosituion, but I think that if you are going to have something procliamed against the law, you should inforce the law, or if you are not really willing to do that, then just come out and declare that it is not illegal.

The other thing that I think is quite silly about this whole making and keeping prositution iilegal thing is that if you think about it, there is no laws, nor should there be against two strangers meeting going off and having sex then walking away without ever seeing each other again, yet if that exzact same thing were to happen in which money was envolved and passed hands, then suddenly it is a crime.

In the long run it would really work out better for everyone to make prositution legal, it is after all an act between two concenting adults. If prositituon was legal it would be under regulation and would make it safer for both the prositutes and thier clients. As well there would then be desginated brothels where people could go whom seek the pleasue of the flesh so it would take porsitutes off the streets so they would not be in view of those offended by such. Prositutes would also then be required to have regular medical exams to make sure they are healthy and clean, and they would have more protection against violence, and more avilabelity to brith control and safe sex methods.

Hello

This is an age old problem and I have this theory that the powers that be like to keep it illegal because they can make more money from some of these poorer unsuspecting girls in the business. And my thoughts are that governments everywhere cow tow to big money dealing law breakers. The police just arrest a few lowly street girls here and there so the powers that be can say we are trying to erradicate the practice which they never will. If it was legal and run propally the pimps and middle men, the money launderers and other criminals would be out of business and I don't think governments have the political fortitude for such a simple idea. And to tell you the truth I have my doubts they could run a chook raffle propally, just look around the world at the debacles made by governments of so called intelligent men and women.
