Faith DayWell it is here, the season again for the All Amercian pass time as they call it, yes I am talking about Baseball. And though I myself have never been much of a fan of baseball there was something which I heard that I just had to coment upon. Now we are all familler with cap days, baseball bad days, bobble head days and so on, little gimiics to try and get people to come out to the stands. Well get ready for what is comming next. Faith Day, yes you heard right, I said Faith Day. Now what does Faith Day conssist of you might wonder, well monks, crucifixes, bibilical pamplets, bobble head Moses (I kid you not) and Christion Rock. I have a problem with this for a couple of reasons. First and fore most is that who is it to dictate that only Christions have Faith or that only thier Faith counts? If you really want to bring people together and celebrate and embrace what is supposably American then why not have a Faith Day which embraces and welcomes all Faiths? They might as well just call it Christions are the only one who matter day as far as I am concerend. The other problem I have is that they spoke to one woman about it and she said that "It was a great oppertunity to get together with other people who are also Christion hopefully" First of all I found that hopefully remark a bit catty and insulting as if she is too good to mingle with non-christions, and secoundly if that is how you feel, that is what chruch is for you dumb bimbo. There is a time and a place for everything, and reguardless of how I feel about baseball, the baseball game is not the time or place to get your prayer on if you catch my drift. In my opnion all those whom are not Christions ought to boy cott Faith Day and just not go to the game when they do that, and then they can watch the ticket sales go down. 7:28 PM - 7/28/2006 - post comment
