I have recently recived a guppy, I do not know what sex it is, and I have never had a guppy before, only gold fish a few times, and some simease fighting fish. I have recently noticed that my guppy is starting to change colors. Mostly its funs which are starting to turn black, and it is developing a dark spot on the top of its head. Though it appears to be acting normally and dosen't show sings of anything bring wrong. It is hard to find any informaiton on the internet to address this particular question so I thought I would try here and see if anyone can offer my any information.

Sorry SilverWind, I only have goldfish. I suggest you did an internet search. You might find some information.
Weird!
I checked my fish books and all the diseases seem to involve white patches. A general rule of thumb seems to be: Do frequent water changes to dilute whatever is in the water that causes that. Give a saltwater bath.....put fish in a container with about 1 tsp of salt per gallon of water and put the fish in it for about a minute. I always made a smaller amount of it...1/2 tsp per 1/2 gallon, or whatever works out to a cup or two. GOOD LUCK!
