Strangegazer
I know not who you are,
as I watch you lying there,
I can hear your words even
though your lips are still.
You need not speak for
me to understand, you need
not open your eyes to see
as I wait within the shadows.
Rest easy for I am here,
though you are a stranger to
me, it hardly matters, for I
find myself at your bedside while
you appear so peacefully.
Though you do not stir
I imagine the feel of your caress,
your coldness does not turn me
away, for I have enough heat for
the both of us.
You do not fret any longer as
I stand and wait, I would bring you
everything, you don't even have to
ask.
You need not bother to wake
for only in your dreams may you
find an escape, but like the
end, I will be there.
