It all began with a Cow

Posted in Thoughts

I just heard on the radio that apperently in New Dehli there was a bull that went on a 7 hour rampage and some people were injured, but it dod not sound as if anyone had been killed. Now the thing about this that is so intresting to me, is the fact that over there they are primiarly Hindus and to them the cow is sacred and cannot be killed or eaten, and they are allowed to roam freely, and so the reason the ramapage lasted for 7 hours is becasue they could not and could not kill the bull. Now if this had happend just about anywhere else primarly in the US more then likely the bull would have been killed in 5mins or so.

Many people might view them as being stupid or ignornat or primtive and backward for thier beleif and allowing this to happen, but I hold a great deal of admiration and resepct for them and thier beleifs. I for one do not belive that animals should be killed for being animals just becasue it might prove at that time in convinent to humans. If there might be an animal that is posed as a threat for whatever reason then I think the people should just go in thier houses and lock thsmelves in and wait untill it passes. I do not belive that human life should be choosen over animal life.

I do not think that when an animal attacks a person it should be retilated against and killed. I think more or less that animals should be given a free pass, if an animal should attack a person, then that it too bad, but it is not realy the animals fault and in fact 99.9% it is probaly the fault of the person that it happend.

Now I will grant that during the time of the attack the individual has the basic and instinctual right to try and defend themselves, but after the fact the animal should not be hunted down
