I just watched this movie called American Gun and it was really quite intresting. One of the things that I really liked about it is that it was very much about real life, showing "real" people in real situations, things of the every day that people have to deal with, and it was unglamorized and unromantiszied. The movie had these seveal different littler stories, one that was in Orgon, one in Chiacgo and one in Virgina and it was about how guns have a role or played a part and changed and affected the lives of each of the people they looked at. There was one story about a single mom who had 2 sons and one of her kids shot up his highschool and got killed in the process, and her and her son were trying to deal with that and had other problems going on, and one was about this young kid in highschool who was trying to make the best of things but had a deadbeat family, and had to work to support them and went to not the greatest school, worked the nightshift in a dangerous part of town, and the other was about this young woman who worked at her grandfathers gun shop, and there were a couple of other side stories mixed within. It was all quite intresting in some ways it reminded me of Bowling for Columbine, exepct that it was not a documentary.
