I have discovered and sort of came up with (though I do not take cridit for this being original or truly my own) my own little move in belly dancing that was not listed in the book but I think comes out pretty cool. It is a modification on the shoulder shimmy. The should shimmy is very basic, in which you move your left shoulder back and then your right shoulder back and continue to go back and froth and you can reverse and move them foward as well if you want.
What I came up with, is arching my back so I sort of bend over backards, well doing the shoulder shimmy, it comes out looking kind of like that famous scene in the Matrix where Neo is trying to doget the bullests and they are moving past him in slow motion. But I think it also works rather nicely as a belly dance move.
