There is this song I had heard once a couple years back, it was like on the first season of the Chapella (I know I botched the spelling) Show, though I am not found of the show in general there was nothing else on and I happend to have the TV tuned into Comedy Central, anyway, they had this guest signing, but at the time I did not catch thier name and they sang this song that had a really good beat and a great message that I really liked, and I cannot remeber how it happend, or just where but as of recently the song came back into my attention and I decided to see if I could look it up on my itunes to download to my ipod, and I found it.
Listining to it again, it is really quite an amazing song. It has a strong message, and well it is a song that I can really feel and has a lot of deep emotion to it, though I will forewarn it is a political/protest song, with a strong liberal bent (which should not be surprsing to anyone who has read my blog) there is this one line in the song that I think is really great
But the radio won't play this. They call this rebel music. How can you refuse it, children of moses?
I also think the chorus is just great and well with the whole song there is something almost sad about it escpacally sense it is not hard to imagine that it would be true, which is really quite sad considering who is in office now.
If I was president, I'd get elected on Friday, assasinated on Saturday, and buried on Sunday.
The song is called If I was President by Wycelf Jean and I strongly recomend anyone to check it out
