Goddess Imprisoned
Caught upon my tongue a lone snowflake
whisperers in the wind called my name
beneath the moonlight I lost my sight
walking across winterland she came
Sitting beside shimmering glass lake
nothing quite appeared the same
I lost my sight beneath the moonlight
only upon star beauty I blame
The very leaves seemed to give a quake
in her eyes there danced a flame
beneath the moonlight I lost my sight
no longer could it be just a game
Illuminated within her fate
never would she be made tame
I lost my sight beneath the moonlight
shadowed in her presence I felt shame
Her tears fell to create a snowflake
holding scales of balance she came
beneath the moonlight I lost my sight
yet upon the wall she was caught in frame.
