My OCDIt is funny, the habbits we have and the things we do that just come naturally to us, that we do not even really give any particuarly thought to, but then when we take the time to reflect back, the things we might learn of ourselves or discover, and the new light it could put on a situation.
I have discovered that I have a sort of OCD (that is the best word I can think for it, and we can chalk that up to the growing list of my varrious other personality disorders I have to some digree or another) for catagorizing things. As you can see from my blogs which I keep in nicely divided sections.
Well where the average person most likely keeps a single journanl/diary for all of their thoughts, experinces etc. I keep about 10 to 15 with each one designated to a specific purpose/area in my life. For exmaple, I have one that I use just for my personal feelings/thoughts/emotiuons/ and things that have happened which I thought were worthy to note in my daily life, I have another just for dreams I have had, and one specificaly for recordings expeinces I have had of a supernatural nature and my feelings/thoughts related to that event, and so on.
I do not like to have things all hodgepodged together, and I am like this about other areas of my life, the journals is just what first and foremost came to mind, but I have been like this about school reated things. I would have a sperate binder for each class. I even have different day planners for different things. I have one that I use primiarly just for recoreding imporant dates relating to my school, and then I have another I use acutally to keep track of strange occurances that happen to me within the house.
And I have 2 different sketch books. One I use for my color penicil work for when I really get inpspired to draw/create something and then one I just use for goofing off, that I dray little funny doodles in and such.
It is quite funny, I have always had this strange little pradox of sorts, where I can be obcessively orginized about somethings but at the same time, intrestingly enough, I cannot keep my room clean to save the world. 9:54 AM - 2/4/2007 - post comment
